Boston-Area E60 Owners

My Ride: 2007 530Xi - Navigation, Premium package, Steptronic.
I have to transport a 6-foot-long box weighing 20 pounds to the Adirondacks in early June. Since I don't have the fold-down seats in my 530xi, my only real choice is to transport inside the car, or to use the BMW-spec rack. I'd buy the rack, but don't really expect to ever transport anything again on the roof of the car. If someone in the Boston area had such a rack and would be interested in loaning or renting it, I'd really appreciate it.
