Retrofit is absolutely possible with the following parts:

(1) Retrofit Cable Set pn: 61 12 0 432 110
(1) left Taillight pn: 63 21 7 177 281
(1) Right Taillight pn: 63 21 7 177 282
(1) Light Control Module pn: 61 35 9 154 944 (Needed for cars pre 9/2006)
(2) Xenon Bulbs D1S w/ Ignition Element pn: 63 21 7 162 862
(2) Control Unit Xenon Light "ballast" pn: 63 12 6 937 223
(2) ALC box (uncoded) pn: 63 12 7 189 312 ( for proper function of adaptive control, If desired)

In addition, the headlamp / harness wiring may require slight modification, and programing (1 hour labor charge) will be neccessary from the dealership. To complete the retrofit.

Do you know what the wiring harness modification would be for an 2003 built E60? Mayabe a diagram may help people with the retrofit. I also believe any newer LCM then the pn: 61 35 9 154 944 is compatable cause it's hard to find that part anymore. I could be wrong but chime in if you know.
