I have a 2002 Black Targa with Grey leather interior and 320hp - 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. Loaded with options including BiXenon headlights, BOSE AM/FM w/ CD and 6CD changer, heater full power seats, flared rocker panels, 18" Classic wheels with colored crests. For those not familiar with the Targa, it is a full glass roof that is retractable, almost like a huge sunroof. Open air like a convertible but with the rigid chassis of a coupe for improved handling and no leaks! Excellent condition - non smoker, hand -washed, garaged, and dealer maintained.

The financials -the car has an assumable lease with 17 payments remaining at $620.40/month. Current mileage is 44,1xx - mileage allowed under the lease is 67,600. At lease end on 7/14/07, you can buy the car for $36,600. I am asking $2500 upfront for this rock bottom payment on an awesome car!

Contact me at mheaberg@hotmail.com if interested or for further details.

Usually lease assumptions, the seller will give the buyer a incentive for jumping into the lease not a requirement of 2500$

True, but those lease assumptions are for leases with very high monthly payments. On swapalease.com, for example, the next lowest lease on an '02 Porsche, not even a Targa, is $813. If you amortize $2500 over the remaining 17 payments- $147.06 - and add it to the 620.40, the EFFECTIVE monthly payment is $767.46.

Remember, the next lowest at $813 is probably discounted also, and it is not a targa.

For a 911 Targa, $767 seems like a decent deal to me after amortizing the $2500 upfront.

It amazes me why people treat such an upfront payment as absurd. If I put a $15K upfront on my 545 and had low monthly pmts of $400, is that equity not worth something? Even a 5th grader should understand there is value to this equity. Is a house worth less to a new buyer if the owner put 40% down vs. 10% down? - same logic.
