Autobahnd Roadblock (3M) film kit
Surprising results -
Overall:
#1 - Goodyear F1 GS-D3
#2 - Continental ContiSportContact 2
#3 - Yokohama Advan Neova AD07
#4 - Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
#5 - Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212
#6 - Dunlop SP Sport Maxx
#7 - Pirelli P Zero Rosso Asimmetrico
#8 - Toyo Proxes T1-R
#9 - Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
#10 - BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD
#11 - Kumho Ecsta MX
Dry:
BFGoodrich - .95g
Goodyear - .94g
Hankook - .94g
Yokohama - .94g
Michelin - .93g
Bridgestone - .93g
Continental - .92g
Dunlop - .92g
Kumho - .92g
Pirelli - .92g
Toyo - .88g
Wet:
Goodyear - .82g
Continental - .80g
Bridgestone -.78g
Dunlop -.77g
Michelin -.75g
Pirelli -.75g
Yokohama -.74g
Toyo -.71g
Hankook -.69g
Kuhmo - .67g
BFGoodrich - .67g
There are a bunch more metrics but the frustrating thing is that the Yokohama tire isn't available in sizes that fit our cars - they stopped the best, and they also were rated the best dry performer after the track runs were factored in.

Just getting some PS2's. Must be *far* better than the Dunlop DSST's!

[/quote]Sorry, they're all regular tires. Size 225/45 17". 325i, presumably non-sport. Testing occurred at TireRack.com's test track in South Carolina. They included a tester who used to work for Michelin and was a track tester for 10+ years. He drove all the tires "blind", without knowing what the car had mounted on it.
You really should get the Goodyears. Far better performer. The shocker is that the Bridgestones aren't very good.

C&D stated they specifically stayed away from doing ride comfort and noise as they consodered they would be secondary interests to those wanting "performance" tires.

Right, I went back and checked - I remembered a few comments they made on a tire or two regarding noise. I think it's online now.
