additional IIHS data: e60 vs e39 vs class

Here are some more details around cockpit/safety cage intrusion from the IIHS crash link (the higher the cm the greater intrusion) for 2004 e60 vs 1997 e39. Looking at the actual data, the e60 stacks up well vs e39 and within class. Of course, who knows how this translates to real life safety. Nevertheless, sometimes its interesting to look beyound the #of stars and see the data. Below that is the actual force data on various parts -again I'm presuming the higher displacement of body parts and great the force/energies is not desirable. I'm not sure if BMW is allowed to make mods for IIHS test but I've found no indication of that.
