Hi X5ers,

I am in the process of saying bye bye to my E60 (my third actually) and thinking about X6 or X5. Can anyone tells me this:

How is the X5 in the snow? do you need to have special winter tires or the all season tires that come with the x5 is enough for the snow we get in New York?

thanks in advance.

By the way..you got guessed correctly, I am watching the GIANTS opening game at this moment adding sugar to the coffee.

I love my X5. We just picked up a 2009 X5 4.8i Sport and it's great! Haven't tried it in the snow yet, but I'm sure it will be great.

I'll let you know in a few months. I need to buy a set of 19's for winter, as my X came with the 20's. I'm going to mount a set of Blizzak's on the 19's which will make the car drive amazing in the snow. On my old, 530xi, those tires were AMAZING in the winter. Honestly, my 530xi handled better than my 2001 Durango which had new tires too. If I had to guess, I bet the X5 will handle just as good, if not better than the 530xi. Get the X5.

I had an E70 X5 3.0Si in the first year of its release, I drove it in Russian snow in Moscow I had sitin on 19" if Im not mistaking.. I had sat it on some winter tires I think they where Michelin if Im not mistaking, good performer for snow driving I was truly pleased! With the ///M X5's around Im drooling over it! I dont care how it performs its still an ///M-Power car with beautiful interior
