Although I do love the Hartge X5, don't get me wrong. But why wouldn't you just get a Cayenne Turbo, stock it'll do 0-60 in 5.2 sec. Not too mention they now have the Cayenne Turbo S, which will do 0-60 in 4.8 sec stock. Then if you really wanna go crazy, go with the Cayenne GT700 Gemballa, I hear it does 0-60 in 4.3 sec.

and besides, there is no point of 0-60 with an SUV !!!!
I was refering to the BMW handling!!!!! This will never be matched by any other car within the same class..... (I do not mean Porsche coupes)
the Cayene is just a more expensive VW Touareg and the VW is actually even better looking.....

As for the Cayenne being an expensive Touareg, you're right, I think everyone knows that. Although it is more expensive for a few reasons. As to which one looks better that's up to you, there's no point in even going down that road.
Finally, I would agree that there is no point in 0-60 for an SUV, but then there's really no point in 0-60 for anything, unless you end up with a really really small freeway on-ramp. I personally love 0-60 speeds, so the Cayenne works for me.

My Ride: 530i Touring, M Sport, build date 10/05, Silver Grey, Black leather, Maple Anthracite, Anthracite roof lining, panorama roof, M Aerodynamic, M Steering wheel, M Sport suspension, sport seats, shadow line, 135 M wheels, Goodyear NCT 5 runflats, and some other stuff too.
Great car for getting 10mpg. Sorry but have driven the 4.8 X5 with sports suspension and various other tricks as well as the Cayenne Turbo. Cayenne handsdown.
Not only that, the Cayenne will go offroad, took it with a friend (the owner) into some very hairy country. The X5 with those wheels will go about as far offroad as a Hyundai Getz. Have seen X5's like these get stuck in muddy paddocks which a little Suzuki Vitara can just walk across. Makes them look pretty silly...in fact very silly

Nice video but I absolutely agree with you Heiss5. The top of the line X5 has just a few more horsepowers than the Cayenne S...
It would definitely take the Cayenne Turbo or why not the Cayenne S

I really didn't mean to start a Porsche vs BMW SUV war here. I just threw out the idea because I was interested why Peter530i would choose the Hartge X5 over the Cayenne Turbo. I don't know how much you would end up spending on a Hartge X5, but I imagine they're close to the same price ($125,000). In the end though, an un-tuned Cayenne Turbo out performs the X5 in I think just about every way.
Also, my Cayenne Turbo averages 16 mpg, I don't think the X5 is getting anywhere close to that after all the performance tuning.
As for the accidental Cayenne S vs X5 4.8is dispute I started, here is what I think.
Cayenne S
Curb Weight: 4949 lbs, Horsepower: 340 hp, Torque: 310 lb-ft, Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 6.8 sec
X5 4.8is
Curb Weight: 5016 lbs, Horsepower: 355 hp, Torque: 369 lb-ft, Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 5.9 sec
Therefore, I think you were both right and I appreciate everyone's input.
