Would you trade your 550i straight up for the new M3?

+1 id say stick to your 550. well for one thing if i had your car, id be happy haha. and it's a 5 compared to a 3, as said earlier. mayber later on, after the new M3 had its bugs all fixed (if any since its a new production) and maybe when you can buy it without having to sell your 550, then go for the M3 as a 2nd car. i would keep the sedan for future purposes and for my liking and enjoyment still, even with a new M3 beside it in the garage for more fun. gotta have love for the e60. just my opinion.

Hey Calton,
Ease up on the caffeine. Instead of 10 cups of coffee a day, try 8. Repeat "I'm not a caffeine addict" over and over.

Used to that in the morning but since moving up to San Jose, I needed to switch to evenings.

Anyway, back to the topic. I've had the same thoughts as MikeBuzzsaw. It's just so tempting to get the e92 M3. Kinda mentioned about getting to g/f. She doesn't like 2-door cars and said it's smaller than e60. :sigh: I can only dream or break up with her by Spring 2008 and get either the M3 or M5.

BOYS! Do I need to send both of you to your rooms for that language???

Mike, I'm pretty sure the new M3 is going to demand north of $70K. I remember the E46 M3 selling used for about $70K with about a thousand miles on it.

And no, I wouldn't consider going to an M3 a downgrade. Going to a 330 on the other hand might be considered a downgrade but in the end, it's a matter of preference.

Dude that's awesome! Does the car look the same as the ones that are all over the net? How did it feel? Details please!

bobr2001 - cmansbimmer is probably still just waking up and need his morning coffee, so he's a bit out of it right now, I'm sure he doesn't mean it.
Dan
The car was covered up with black tarp/plastic thing which revealed nothing. I was there checking out the old M3 go around the track, but then they brought in the mysterious covered up car. I asked what was it and he said it was the new M3. I wasn't even allowed to bring in my camera. The shaped looked like the 2-dr current 3series and the interior was roughly the same.
