B7 glass makes the car look armoured, the B6/B7 car doesnt look armoured unless you look very closely

I haven't really seen too many cars with B7 glass so I'm not sure what the visible difference is so I'll have to take your word for it E60Speed

I have an article from Popular Mechanics magazine that talks in great detail about O'Gara.. It says the glass on an Ogara armoured vehicle is 2.5-inch. and could stop a .50-calibre round. It might have been a .50 calibre handgun like that huge pistol that's used in the movies. I don't think it's from the .50 calibre sniper rifles I saw on a CNN story. I personally have not read about any armour, excluding any one-off pres. limos, on a vehicle that can withstand the .50-calibre rounds from the big sniper rifles. The ease with which they can be acquired is frightening, luckily I don't live in the U.S.

I've never been too interested in the pres. limo, much more interested in the Chevy Suburbans that follow behind it..

The true .50 cal rifle is mounted in a helicopter, tank, jeep or ship not handheld it's lethal at a mile away! (Snipers)

.454 casull i think is the most powerful handgun round blackpowder notwithstanding.

Casull is good but try .500 S&W Mag.

BMW 760Li after assasination attempt.

Seems that this armoured BMW did pretty well. I'm guessing it was a High Security 760Li. It was attacked with explosives and assault rifle fire. I've never seen an armoured BMW after an attack though I have seen the aftermath of many armoured Mercs. I guess BMW Security Driver training helps keep these guys out of trouble.

There's a 750iL Protection Series on eBay for anyone interested.
