I thought the same even on some of the stills. They keep putting more and more pics up on that link over at E90Post. I'm not sure it was in those or on BMWs site but definitely I thought a pretty large gap above the grills

Eh... just like the E60... the aluminum hood is light and you have to really drop it to get it closed... they prob didnt close it properly when they fimed this.
Either that or they changed it to the new M-Tech bumper which increases the gap like the E60! hahahahah
