My Ride: 2003 530d
I took my 530d for service today. It started snowing here last night and the roads turned into a giant skating rink by this morning. It was not much fun to get to the dealer. Traffic clogged up everywhere, accidents, cars stuck... the usual. I made it fine but it took me 1 hour what normally takes 15 min.
So I got there and asked the guy "please tell me I can have anything with 4wd for these two days". He said I was too late, all X's are out. Then he pulls out this blue 320Si. I remember seeing this model in Geneva. It's a special WTCC derived version of a plain 320.
I don't really understand why this is supposed to be a racecar because it's not that powerful. But it's a revvy engine (up to 7,500) and sounds beautiful. Still 170hp but improved torque, M-kit and M badges all over the car.
Here is a link to some info I found: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php?f...amp;carnum=2592
But.. I love the handling of this car. It's really natural, balanced, sporty. Really fun to drive, steering is much improved. Great quality interior with amazing materials. Shift stick is extra short, really cool.
Would have been a great test drive for two days on a dry summer day. But all we got is snow everywhere.
just wanted to share

ps. asked them about E60 eyebrow issue and they said they only have the latest version prepared. It's 24.2. I asked is it 24.02? He didn't know ..... bah... anyway, we'll see.

I'm in Zurich. Hope you had a chance to visit it too. I never really go to St. Gallen and even if I do it somehow always rains. Dunno why but all my memories of it is gray, dark, rain. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
And by another coincidence, I'm travelling to L.A. tomorrow to escape our cold winter
