I just went in to configure a 330d M Sport for the Mrs and saw they have an option to configure 335d M Sport

www.bmw.co.uk

Is this the same engine as the 535 twin turbo! This car will be MAD!

I thought it was the same engine as the current 535d.

The twin turbo will be the 335i

The 535d is a diesel twin turbo, so i guess the 335d will have pretty much the same engine.

The 335i is a petrol twin turbo but not sure if the displacement is 3.5 or 3.0

Hellloooo?!?!
ppl...1st the new tiwn turbo 3000cc diesel is uprated slightly at hp and torque from what i understand 286brake and 580NM vs 272 560 NM the actual one. The new one will be a bit lighter. It's an evolution and it will be introduced in the E60 in the near future. Same for the 3000cc twin turbo petrol engine wich debuted in the 335i.

Yes, this has been on the configurator for a while without any official announcement...

See my post on 19th July 3series - it's the updated 'light' lump with improved piezo injectors.

This engine will hit the 535d at some point...

I've just been to the site, and I can't find the model at all. The 3 saloon "stops" at 330 (i or d), the new 3 coupe does not even bring up engine options - only a sign-up for information form. I've tried bmw.com as well - no sign of any 335d - "just" the petrol one. Exactly where you found this on the UK site?

Thanks

D
