Picked up the car today

Took a short trip down to Germany immediately. Just parked the car after 750 km of driving.
Very imressive car, very smooth and powerful.

Fuel consumption today 7.7 L/100km!! Mostly autobahn 100 - 170 km/h.

More driving tomorrow
Congrats cidair

Post some pics if you can

Why is mine taking so long?

Plates were given on thursday but the SA has the day off today
I hope i get a call soon :'(

It's nice now that you have a 4wd BMW, but..

Back home again after 1600km in Germany. Excellent car, very stable in the wet. The grip from standstill is just unbelievable! 8.3L/100km in total on the trip. Top speed tested just before leaving Germany ( yes I could not wait until 2000km as the book says! ), 248 km/h ( that?s 237 km/h on my GPS ).
A very solid, comfortable and entertaining car to drive.............but where is the damn SNOW????

No pictures today, car is at the dealer again for ipod interface and heater installation. Will pick it up on wednesday again. Have to drive the old M5 for a couple of days again...............

It sounds just awsome!!

You did the right thing with the long trip on the first 2000 km's.. That's a good way of breake in the engine, let it run with differents speeds and a warm engine all the time!

It must be a pain to choose between an M5 and a 330xdAT

How is the ACC ?

It?s actually a little better than the one I had on the 545. Smoother and a little less sensitive. It seems like it has a narrover beam on the radar?
But I?m not really sure if it was a right decision to order it?
It works OK, but not more IMO. Driving on the autobahn and catching up on a car, ACC breaks way too early IMO. You really have to be quick and " point " the car to the left, very early/far away, if you want a smooth ride. At slower speeds it works better.

When stationary ( in my 330 ), and in the rain, there is a pulse in the brake pedal every time the wipers sweep!!!????

Anyone experienced this in a E60?
