Apparently the new coupe is not selling in great numbers so there are deals to be had. I was offered 8% discount as a guide for you.
Thanks, I have ordered one at -8%, it seems to be the level that they all stick at claiming its all thier front end margin in the coupe and the back end margin is no longer guaranteed etc etc. i could have shaved a few more pounds off but decided to go with my local dealer, Sytner High Wycombe as they we able to match Cooper Thames Ditton and I didn't want to get into a dutch auction over a few pounds, I'd rather have a happy dealer who is going to service it over the next few years.

I think you did a good deal there on such a new model. A UK BMW dealer has around 15% in a new car so they are being a bit economical with the truth there but they do need to make a living. A friend of mine is currently pondering the purchase of a 320d M sport saloon and you'd be surprised how many of these cars are sitting around unsold in dealer stock. I was even offered a new model X5 3.0d for June build a couple of weeks ago. That car hasn't yet been launched in the UK and is supposed to be as readily available as rocking horse pooh with an alledgedly long waiting list. Makes you wonder..
