My Ride: 2004 BMW 525i, Titanium Silver, Black Dakota Interior w/poplar wood trim, Tinted Windows, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Stick-shift, Bluetooth, AUX Input
Default

Hello all,

Just joined the forum today, as w/QWKBMW I too didn't find much info on bimmerfest, so here I am.
I got my 525 in Oct'04 (build 04/04) Titanium Silver, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Tinted Windows, Red Reflectors in the back. Got it for $40k even+tax. The car just drives amazing. The only issue that I have is that I was not able to get Nav with the car. I have read in other forums that it could be retrofitted only if you have option 6UA or SA09?

Also, how do you know if the car is already bluetooth enabled? I did get a card with my owner's manual that had some bluetooth key. So, is the car bluetooth enabled?

Thanks... hoping to get to talk more with you guys.

04/04 has a later TCU and so will qualify for the "BT Retrofit" This requires CIP V13.3 or later and some BT coding.

Welcome!

I'm not sure whether you can get it retrofitted.

You can Buy PDAs with NAV systems, or stand alone systems like TomtomGo. At least you can in the UK - they work out a lot cheeper too. Also transferable to another car!

I spoke to the BMW NA and said that it was possible to retrofit it in Europe (Refer topic http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=7215) and the CS Rep said she'll get back to me on it, but right now they don't do it unless you have option 6UA.
