Just wanted to say hi to all fellow E60/E61 owners & of course members on this forum.

Discoverd the E60 forum approx. 2 weeks ago while randomly looking up info regarding BMW 5 series.

Since discovering this forum I've been redaing the new topics on a daily basis trying to find out all those thing one always wanted to find out about the 5-series E60/E61.

I am especially interested in other members' experiences with the E60/E61-model. Also I'm thinking about any future mods I might make to the car.

Anyways, based on what I've read so far this is one great forum and currently thinking about making a donation to express my sympathy.

Greetings to all other forum members and especially all other Belgians on this forum !

I will try to make some photographs of my ride soon and post them on the forum.

CU,
Belgian BMW Fan.

Hi BMW ///M 525xi,

I live in Bornem (province Antwerpen).

No didn't post any pictures yet. I will make some in the near future and post them on the forum.

I will also post my details in the special Benelux topic, OK ?

Have to admit that after approx. 10 months driving the BMW 520d, that I am really in love with the car (girlfriend will love to hear this) Sure, I would love to own a 6-cyl. BMW (525d, 530d, ...) in the future, but for now, my budget, Belgian taxes & traffic persuaded me to go for the 4 cyl. 520d Touring. I haven't regretted my choice for a single moment, altough one always keeps wondering what the car would drive with some extra punch (say 525d, 530d or 535d)

This is my first BMW, after dreaming of owning one since puberty. Had all sorts of cars the last 10 years. Always new cars. Haven't got very much confidence in second hand cars I guess

1st car: Renault Twingo
2nd car: Volkswagen Golf Tdi (115 HP)
3rd car (after VW Golf being stolen in Sout of France near Aix-en-Provence): Peugeot 307 (110 HP)
4th car: Renault Espace 2.2 dTi (150 HP), but sold the car after 2 years to buy the BMW as I found out I wasn't ready to drive a "family bus" yet Sure, it's easy and it has a lot of space, but not really my thing I soon realized...
5h car: BMW 520d Touring

Anyways, thx for welcoming me to the forum and look forward to talking to you and the other forum-members in future.

Greetz,
T.

Hi,

to be honest i can believe you love your car since it has a lot of nice options. I also say this because my father also bought an E60 520d a few months ago and it has already a lot of punch. i'm a little dissapointed in the 218 hp engine i have since it doesn't have that much torque and you feel that in the acceleration. My previous car was a E39 530d with 193 hp and because it was a diesel + had less weight, i have the impression it accelerated better than mine now. But this car is absolutely the most beautifull car i've owned. I love the looks of it and i'm satisfied about my four wheel drive. It really sticks to the road even on rainy surfaces.

All by all, enjoy your car!

Mvg,

B
