Just bought my 1st BMW. It is an 08 535XI wagon. on Dec 31 2018
So far I love it.
It was bought for my wife to replace her car that was totaled by a 90 year old lady. So far I have driven it 90% of the time.
I am still finding bells and whistles I had no idea it had like headlight washers that I discovered today
I have a few problems.
1 Remote lock and unlock will not work the remotes tested fine so I am thinking Diversity antenna eve though the FM reception is fine
2. I discovered water in the tray below the 1st aid kit after an inch of rain overnight
3. The transmission jerks or surges at low speeds in 3rd or 4th gear I have read this is a common issue
4 the bluetooth seems to work only part of the time and when it is not working I also get a sis call malfunction warning at start up
5 discovered yesterday the hear will only blow hot on the driver side. the passenger blows cool no matter what the control is set at.
It was blowing 95 degrees from one vent and 35 degrees from the other .
6 it was supposed to have navigation but if it does I can not figure out how to activate it. It does have the BMW Atlas in the glove box though.

I love the power and handling from a wagon no less. It will beat my 08 Grand Prix GXP (400HP LSX V8) my 96 corvette (the Vette would get it off the line if the tires do not break loose.bit the wagon would catch it pretty fast. and would give my C5 Vette with close to 500HP a good run but the Vette would win because the speed limiter was tuned out.

The only other non American car I have owned was a Jaguar.
The BMW and Jaguar have the Domestic cars beat by a long shot on interior design and quality.
