There are so many potential modifications that I am considering:

* Coilovers
* Mtech front and rear bumpers
* LED interior lighting
* Window tints

Obviously, I'm not looking to boost the speed of the car because I've accepted the fact that the 530i is quite heavy and slow. Looking into minor suspension and aesthetic mods to give it an OEM+ feel and stance.

If you're considering the M Technic stuff, you might want to jump on it now. LCI (2008-and on) kits are discontinued by BMW. It's not going to surprise me to see the kits for early cars get discontinued soon too. Tischer BMW has them for a steal right now. I got my whole kit for less than $1400 shipped to my door last year. It literally comes with every singe little part that you need, including a few left overs. Once BMW stops selling it as a kit, you'll have to buy the parts individually, which is BIG bucks.

Good luck with the car. I also have an '04 530i.

Thanks for the information. I'll think it over and decide whether it is worth the cost on an older car like this. I don't intend to drop lots of money on this car... Saving up for an ///M

I wouldn't even bother with the M Technic kit then, the car looks good as it is now.

Good luck with the car.

Ah, that's good to hear. I'm really on the fence with it. What do you think about the ACS front lip? I really dislike the stock E60 front bumper... too... round. I'm thinking of getting that front lip, and maybe changing the interior lights to LEDs, then calling it a day with the mods. As you said, it looks pretty good the way it is now and 90% happy with it

I'm in the same boat as yourself, but I'm not upgrading to a M. I dislike the stock bumper but I feel its too square and the Mtec kit makes it look more updated.

I have a 545i so power is more than enough for me. With these cars you keep it simple, slap some rims and a mtec kit with some coilovers and call it a day
