Hi Guys,
I thought I would introduce myself and say hi. I just bought a 2007 530i auto this evening after reading this board for a couple weeks. I was real close to buying a 2005 545 with SMG (becuase of Rudy's ravings) but decided on this 530i (for a couple grand less) for a number of reasons including much less mileage (it was "used" but only had 292 miles vs. about 30,500 for the 545) and the price was right (paid $46k). Also, I kind of consider this an "in-between" car as I currently have a '99 e46 and a '99 996 (Porsche 911). I just blew the engine on the 996 (after only 32k miles, grrrrr....) and the e46 is, well, old and boring (I bought it new). I really wanted the 6-speed 535 but since it won't be available until sometime in 2007 (???) I figured this would be a great car to drive until I can do the 535 with Euro Delivery.
So far, I'm loving my new E60. Great car!
Thanks for all your postings - it really helped my decision in buying this car.

Congratulations on your choice -- even though my "raving" didn't persuade you enough to go with the 545...
Considering the mileage and other factors you mentioned, you probably made a wise decision and I'm sure you'll be happy with your choice!
