Pradden,
Welcome to the forums. Your recent choice in cars is as good as your choice in beer. Yeah, I see that bottle of Heinie sitting on the garage floor!

Thanks for the nice words! In just the last few weeks I have become addicted to this site, along with a couple others. I think I have a BMW disease... Kinda like I used to get "Honda Fever" back when I was 18 and had a 93 Integra GS-R... VTEC lol
I've joined the local BMW club, Bluegrass Bimmers, and am signing up with BMW CCA. My GF came with me to my first meet this week. I think she was a little shocked. All the guys there were in their 50s-60s, and we're 25...
Anyway, I had better pace myself with these forums, or I'll be spending all my savings on mods when I should be saving for an engagement ring, and down payment money for mortgage...

lightfytr, thank you for the advise. I have never "clay-ed" a car before, so I didn't even consider it. I will read up on it today and get what I need, then get it done tomorrow.
I do have 2 questions though:
Since my car has a pinstripe on it, do I need to be careful around it with the clay bar? and, What do you recommend for the chrome strips around the windows? The chrome strips have what look like water marks on them that won't just rub off.

you can clay lots of parts of the car, not just the paint. Try using clay on your window too, then use windex afterward. It makes a big difference. The important thing is use clay lubricant generously and do not apply too much pressure when claying.
Have fun with your new car.
