Hello All,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Jason, I'm 24 and from Riverside, CA. I actually had an M3 on order, but recently changed my mind. I decided to get something more practical. Primary reasons were, 4 doors, more room, better MPG, softer ride, insurance costs, and mod issues. If I had the M3 I know that I'd spend all my money modding the dang thing. Besides, we all know that the 5's are classy as H E L L !

The car is currently scheduled for production starting next week.

2006 530i
black sapphire w/ auburn interior
anthracite trim
anthracite headliner
navigation
premium package
sport package
automatic trans
comfort access
heated seats

future mods- aux input, tint, clearbra, and wheels. (love those radenergie r10's)

Oh yeah, and my uncle Ronnie "CWOARMY" is on these boards too. You germany guys probably know him from all the meets.

Welcome and nice specs. Congrats

Any reason no HUD. More than a gimmick. Very useful IMO, especially with NAV. But I am sure you probably researched the forum for options based on your Uncle's urging.

The HUD is pretty neat, but I honestly couldn't see spending 1k for it. I'd prefer to use the money toward some wheels or something else. To be honest, I almost didn't go for the nav, but I like the bigger screen, the voice controls, and my girlfriend talked me into it.

Thanks all.

welcome SoCal530

...i thought they only say 'howdy' in Texas

specs sound nice, but, one suggestion would be to drop comfort access and go with the premium sound package.....the $1000 CA option is a complete rip off, as well as some security issues revolving make it a waste, imho, but im sure you will every day use and enjoy the L7 sound system, and do think about the Sirius option as well, its great!

.....and be warned, moding is just as rampt on the E60s, just abit classier, look into an M-tech body kit to finish out the car in its best look

Why do you need heated seat in Southern California?
