My Ride: 2007 530i, Alpine, Sports Package
Default Hello from CT

Hi fellas,
Have a 2007 530i, sports package, premium package, Bridgestone RFT's. Got it as a CPO, have 75K miles. I have to tell you, I'm disappointed in this vehicle. I've replaced the water pump @ 50K miles, had oil leaks around the oil filter seal, and recently had to replace the starter. I am using an indie mechanic who is fantastic. I just feel that's too many mechanical issues for such a young car. What do you think?

to the forum! If you look at my handle and signature, you'll see that we have a lot in common. All except the issues you are experiencing.

I have to say though, I've been lucky. I'm coming up on 120,000 miles and I still have the original water pump and starter, but it's very common for those things to go early on these cars. I'm sure my day will come. I'm about due for new shocks up front though.

Nice to hear from you. Do you mind if I ask what mechanic you're using? I'm using a guy in Milford. If you want to go private to answer that is fine. Also, my email is
