I've got 2005 523i msport e60. Engine light came on. Got codes p1554 p0012- camshaft position timing over retarded bank 1. Recently had both vanos solenoids changed and also camshaft sensor. Reset codes but they pop back up after day or so. Engine runs fine n smooth just feels little under powered. Every now and then when I stop at lights revs jump up and that's when engine light comes on. Any help would be apprieciated

I had the same issues in my 04 530i and change this that and the other and codes kept coming. It turned out be my manifold adjuster unit. There's a lil flap that breaks off that's supposed to open and close. I ordered one online and took the cheapest price of $257.00 vs $560.00 at the dealerahip. No more codes

This happend to my 07 550i a month a go. The other post was from my 04 530. Now sold
I was throwing some codes p1727 p0335 and misfires along with the gear symbol saying tranny malfunction, bad battery along with a few others. Had to let the car sit for about 15 mins then it would start. I told my indy guy I needed I crankshaft position sensor and he said nope I need a ivm module which is a lil box of fuse that control electronic item. That goodness I listened bc that's what it was. Error codes gone and car driving great. Thanks indy shop. Jacksonville Florida

I've just done oil change filter and changed another sensor. Reset codes and drove 15 miles with no problems. Gonna see how it goes. Wish I could pin point problem without having to go through all the things it could be. Car always starts fine and runs smooth even when EML comes on
