I think if we're going bring everyone together, we need a little more time to allow everyone to reserve a slot in the calendar and we will need to plan something a bit bigger over a weekend, so that we can all justify the travel time to the meet. I'm definitely up for it. We know where to find one another, so we just need to pick things up again early next year and put something together
Definitely...sounds great...

Yeah that'd be cool but don't go and suboptimize because of that. I could probably make it if I leave home early as hell and then in the evening just grab a hotel somewhere along the road home, if I don't feel like driving.

2 years ago I drove from Zurich to home in one day and it wasn't too bad so I should be able to make this one also
I'm also someone who's quite happy driving over 1000km in a day... that said, Zurich to Helsingborg is closer to 2000km Any excuse to drive the car hey

Following on from the ideas about a Meet which we've been discussing in the "How many from Scandinavia" Post, we'll use this Post in the Meet & Greet forum to bring it all together. I think we have the date locked down, but still need to work out the attendees, locations and timing.

EVENT DETAILS

This is a list to get us started and we?ll fine tune the plans over the coming weeks -- please post up inputs/ideas, thanks!

Saturday 10th October:
11:00 : Meet at BMW-Alpina Helsingborg, Sweden
12:30 : Cruise to lunch venue / meet up with those travelling from up north / Finland
13:30 : Lunch
14:30 : Cruise with stop-offs on route / visit event or location
17:00 : Head somewhere for evening meal and/or cruise back home

I would expect a few of us to be travelling from the Copenhagen / Malm? area, so we can set up separate caravans to drive to and from the Meet.

ATTENDEE LIST:
(Please add city/country being travelled from)

1. xBMWx -- E61 ? Copenhagen, DK
2.
3.

Hope to see you there...

Maybe we should try to do a bigger meeting next year

Well, of course we want to come, but I will not be able to say anything until the end of the month. And since I will be going to Sweden with the E61 for 5 days starting on 22 October, making two separate trips may not work out.

Anyway, I like the Helsingborg idea. If we do join, we will leave Thursday night with the ferry from Turku-Stockholm, and drive to Helsingborg on Friday. Then we would be ready to go on Saturday morning. We would return to Stockholm on Sunday, and then catch the ferry back to Finland Sunday night.

As soon as I know more about our plans, I will post news here.
