Dateline: Tuesday, 23 June 2009, Jesolo, Italy
After months of careful preparation, involving numerous phone calls, SMS, PM and e-mail messages (most of which had nothing to do with the meet), ///Marco.it and myself (Patrick E61) finally held our Official E61 Meet & Greet, in beautiful Jesolo, Italy.
Since no one else was officially invited, neither of us were that concerned about no-shows, or last minute cancellations.
The idea of this meet was pretty simple: get together near Marco's home city of Trieste, Italy, take some pics of our E61 cars together, enjoy some cold beers near the beach, and then go eat some excellent Italian food with our families. And in the end, it all worked out perfectly.
It was raining here today, then it got dark, and everyone was ravishingly hungry, so we were not able to get all of the pics that we intended. However, a meet is a meet, and we succeeded in having a great time together, not to mention some amazing food. Our thanks to Marco and his family for their extremely kind hospitality.

2 person meet?
Looking good. It's crazy that a car can bring so many people around the world together.

Good work guys!
Probably a 1/100th of the hastle I went through and only 1 car less on the day
You could have also called it a "Marco's previous mods reunification party"
Both cars look great.

When and if I ever make it back to Finland, I plan to organize a one car meet with myself... And I may not even show up.

A hilarious moment after dinner last night was when Marco's daughter realized that her daddy's wheels were on Elliott's (my son) daddy's car! Kids...
![Laughing](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/laughing.gif)
And for the record, I did NOT buy anything off of Marco's E61.

Great photos and great write up. Me and my family have spent really a great night hanging around in Jesolo with you Mira and Elliott. It was a real pleasure to meet all of you.
PS: I just came back from the day on the track with BMW driving academy. It was really stunning experience. I would have never imagined how many things are possible to do with a car on a track.
