That's an awesome picture. I love the way you guys parked the cars and made use of the space.

Are you talking about the pic in your sig Ed??

Man, that's an awesome sight with all those Ferraris. I remember during one of our Bay Area E60 Meets, we drove through Highway 9 and saw a row of about 7-8 Lambos and one lone F360 Modena behind. I was like "damn!" and was also thinking "those guys are probably looking at our row of E60s and saying DAMN as well" Yeah right.... haha

Richard, those are some cool pictures of Sharkfest. I think it's always amazing to see a huge caravan of the same cars. The guys on M5Board are holding an MFest in Vegas on the weekend of Mar 7-9. Supposedly over 150 M cars. That would be an amazing sight. Too bad I'm going to miss that event but hopefully we'll post up some good pictures of our Central Cali E60 meet.

No, Tony. I already know the guy in that pic. He's one fine lookin' dude

I was referring to the Japanese guy standing next to the F40. Someone posted these and other pics of this guy and his crazy car collection on M5Board.

That was all orchestrated by a pro photographer. You can see him bottom center. He had a super wide angle to fit them all in. My 12-24 from further back couldn't quite get all the cars. Exposure was also a challenge due to sun on the house and the cars in the shade. We had 2 hours to get the 80+ cars in place and take the picture before the grounds opened to the public. The event organizers had cars all over the place to get them lined up. It did provide an opportunity for several other cool shoots.

Wow, you're 12-24 couldn't even captures that? I didn't know they made lenses any smaller than 14mm without getting into fish-eye territory. The distortion towards the edge of that pictures is very minimal. Anyways, thanks for sharing.

A 12mm or 14mm on a full frame digital (Canon 5D or the new Nikon D3) would do it. My 12 on a Nikon D200 acts like an 18, still wide but not super wide angle. Its possible the fact its a DX lens gives it sharper quality to the edge.

Ahh... I see. You're on a 1.6x crop body. I shoot with a 16-35 on a 5D and I thought that was pretty wide.

Are the DX lenses like Canon's L-Series?

Not sure about the L series. Nikon DX only works with cropped (APS sized) sensors. They are generally a bit smaller, lighter, and less expensive but the full featured ones aren't cheap. Some DX lenses might be OK on a full frame at some apertures but may loose light in the corners. Of course normal lenses work with full or cropped sensors. I have both types of lenses. FYI, Nikon has always used the same 1.5 crop with its sensors from the first D1 to the latest D300.
