I can't get Florida folks interested in a meet so I have to go outside the state!!!!!!!!!!
Sept 28-Oct 1 (now changed to 12-15 Oct) some us 6ers are going to meet up in Asheville, NC to run the Tail of the Dragon (TOD) and more. Our basic plan is to arrive the 28th, boys run the TOD and other hiways and biways on the 29th (Friday) and then do a "scenic? drive with our significant others on Saturday. Probably a nice place for lunch on Saturday (a couple places have been nominated) and then we skedaddle back to our respective home territories on the 1st. We three instigators are pulling this together on bimmerfest so I will post a link later to our thread(s) over there. Just wanted to give u a heads up. While we plan on staying several nights you are certainly free to join up with us for the Friday boys run (more spirited, don?t u know ) or the more sedate (that?s what I told my wife and she WILL make it so) Saturday affair. Anything else is up to you. We are staying at the Biltmore Estate (its kinda like an inducement to get the wife to come along).
Please join us. We had great fun with fellow bimmerheads at Sharkfest and we like the camaraderie of any BMW (e9 and up ? I say e9 as I don?t go back any further than that).
The three miscreants putting this together are:

Boxboss ? Representing Mississippi
Gbelton ? Representing New Jersey

MINI, Miata, Mustangs, Porsche, Ferrari, bikes, bikes, bikes everybody loves to run the TOD. Will be my first time.

So how far are you travelling to run the dragon?
but have to do it or else lady will stay home. Will still be nice country roads. We may push the date a little later to get closer to fall leaves, but have to be carefull so as not to box ourselves out of good accomodations.You know you folks can jump in or out of either day or do both. Or even just come by at one spot or another once we have more specifics.

Dates have changed. We will headquarter in Asheville, on 12 Oct, run the TOD on 13 (a FRIDAY no less), and then a cool casual country sight seeing drive with gf's or wifes (or not) as the case may be. Then we head out on Sunday. Come join us - it will be a blast.

Maybe you've talked with someone, or have a connection, but I can't get a room to come up on the Biltmore web site for that weekend. It only wants to sell me a romantic getaway package for $1300 for two nights, which I don't want to do at what is really a very average property. Anybody got a plan or a suggestion?
