Sorry can't do, my Flex XC 3401 VRG's plug doesn't fit in your sockets ...
I'm sure we could find you an adapter.

Hey Guys,

I am sure this comment is not gonna make you happy - but from the 4(!!!) E60/61 that were scheduled to turn up for this meet, one didnt leave Munich at all for a week, 1 has transmission problems (possibly - I hope not), and 1 couldnt make it due to a new transmission. Only 1 made it home without any issues.

Oky Petes may be down to wear and tear - maybe the same with Sanjay.

But now Patrick has transmission problems with his E60 after hitting a comfortable 240Km/H on the Autobahn?! Comme on!!
I am not sure what to make of this - coincidence? back luck? or something more? If someone was to follow this post that wouldnt be as BMW focused as well all are, this would be considered very poor feedback to the BMW brand - or maybe only limited to the E60s?!

Just my 2 cents from a happy E90 owner

I'm really starting to wonder about the pre-LCI auto boxes as there has been at least one more thread on here within the last week on transmission faults... see ---> http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=70315

Yes, it is a bit strange!

My "problem" is only in Sports mode, and in 3rd gear. It does not smoothly go up in revs. No other issues, but I will get it checked when I get back to Finland.

I hope that you had a good trip back to Vienna!

xBMWx:

Wow - that sucks with the manifold and the turbo. I think the 500 NM is enough for me and I would never chip/remap again after a bad experience with our old car (Volvo V70 2.4T).

But look on the bright side: if you turbo failed on the autobahn in 200 km/h, the engine would have seen its best days, and you would have to install a new engine.

Have a safe trip back.

169.000 km's here and no problems what so ever. Always driven the car VERY gentle (too gentle maybe?), and letting it idle for a little while after 200 km/h for hours along the Autobahn A7

Car and wife are now both back in Copenhagen... and the camera! I'll post up pics today or tomorrow...

(I'm not going to dwell on the BMW service experience -- that's being handled separately -- thanks for the kinds words though )

Greetings from Maranello, Italy.

Nice pics, Simon!!

Pete, give us an update on your repairs! And I hope that the drive back home has gone smoothly after all this drama.

Ever since we hit 240km/h on the A9, my transmission has been acting strange when in Sport mode.

Not good.

Here are a few more pics.

And the last pic is from Livigno, Italy, where we found TAX FREE diesel, and booze at a Shell station!

Hope those issues don't prove to be anything serious. Very envious of your cruise through Italy -- best regards to Marco

I didn't want to say it on the day, but you missed a bit...
