Essentially, you have two teams with I think up to 4 players each. There's a small ball called the pallino that's tossed/bowled down one end of the lane. Each player then gets a turn at tossing/bowling their ball to try and get closest to the pallino as possible. Players on the other team would try to get their balls closer. You can also either knock your opponent's ball farther away or knock your teammate's ball closer to the pallino or even knock the pallino ball and try to get it closer to your teammates' balls. You score points by adding up how many balls on your team are closer than balls on the other team.

That's basically it. It's a social game where we can stand around and chit chat and, depending on the set up at the winery, do tasting at the same time.
