Yo, if you go, we can do a bonfire out there and chill proper!

So I've spoken with Steven on the phone for a few minutes tonight and got some more info on this meet. First off, Steve sounds like good people and a good guy - it was a pleasure, btw. So, here's what I've spied

As described in the OP, we will be meeting up at the same mall as we did for the June 6th/July25th meets, but in a different parking lot (refer to OP) and going up to PA where we will be meeting some of our PA members. We will first hit a Benefit BBQ in Berwick at the National Guard Armory. All the proceeds from food sales and merchandise (so far, Steve said that there will be T-shirts made - I'm not sure what else) will go to help Mark850i's son Marco. By the sound of it, this BBQ will be a pretty large mingle - not only us, obviously - and it sounds like good ol' fun for everyone.

After the BBQ we shall be hitting the twisties. Correct me if I'm wrong here, Steve - it appeared to me that the drive portion of this meet is not exactly planned out to every turn the same way as, for example, the July 25th meet was, so there is some opportunity here (paging Scott ) to perhaps fine-tune the route a bit. Again, I might have misunderstood though, so if I am wrong, do correct me.

Steve mentioned also that after the twisties we can stay over at that infamous hotel for 32 smuckaroos per night. Apparently, there is an in-ground pool nearby and other attractions as well. So, if you're tired after a pretty full day or just don't wanna go home and would rather spend the night out in the country, apparently there's an excellent and inexpensive place. I'm playing this one by ear, fellas, but it could be good times if enough people stay overnight - we'll get some booze, get a fire going, maybe BBQ some more...

We do NOT have a lot of time to plan everything out to the last detail, so we need to get the roster going here ASAP and then see what everyone's plans are like. Like I said, I'd actually love to stay overnight and do the bonfire thing - not sure how many of you are into that kind of thing, but would be good times, if enough people decide to participate.

All in all, this meet sounds pretty adventurous to me so far, so I'm keeping myself on the roster and let's keep it going, fellas!
Vlad,

I appreciate all the help organizing the run.

I hope more forum members will come along.
There will be a radio announcement for the run on HomeGrown radio - and on their internet site as well.

Friends of mine from the New York MotorCub may be in attendance - not sure how many though.

While I haven't opened the run up to the import tuners " Officially "
I have a few friends who might bring some cars, if they can make it - which is just fine.

The run is about good people - regardless of what they drive.

As far as the Black Forest INN and their rates - It's in the country - and I've never had a problem there.
It's a beautiful place - with great roads.

I'd really appreciate a phone call from those of you who plan on going - so I can keep in touch with you.

Also - please keep the driving to a dull roar - in other words.............

Don't be too spirited - or the state police will get ticket happy.

Steve (973) 975- 7426

* T Shirts will be made for all the drivers - we're asking for a small donation to help out Marco.

See you at the mall on Saturday - 11 AM

Any qustions - Please call me

Steve:

As it turns out, Victor and myself are not going to be able to attend this Saturday's meet. Please PM me with information about how to donate to Marco.

Not to set a trend, but I was just reminded by my girlfriend that we've had something scheduled for this Saturday since a long time ago and it is her friend's Birthday, so no chance of moving. Naturally, I have to decline. Though I was curious to see what NYMC would've showed with...

Sorry fellas!

Y'all have fun and I'll see you at the next meet.
