The hotel charges by the hour, prefers if your name is Trixie and we highly suggest you bring a set of your own sheets. You definitely don't want to drool on the pillow cases and suck it back up.

Well, they do offer rooms with the wine glass tub and the heart-shaped bed with mirrors on the ceiling.
Participation in an episode of the twilight zone is mandatory for each guest

So I've spoken with Steven on the phone for a few minutes tonight and got some more info on this meet. First off, Steve sounds like good people and a good guy - it was a pleasure, btw. So, here's what I've spied
As described in the OP, we will be meeting up at the same mall as we did for the June 6th/July25th meets, but in a different parking lot (refer to OP) and going up to PA where we will be meeting some of our PA members. We will first hit a Benefit BBQ in Berwick at the National Guard Armory. All the proceeds from food sales and merchandise (so far, Steve said that there will be T-shirts made - I'm not sure what else) will go to help Mark850i's son Marco. By the sound of it, this BBQ will be a pretty large mingle - not only us, obviously - and it sounds like good ol' fun for everyone.
After the BBQ we shall be hitting the twisties. Correct me if I'm wrong here, Steve - it appeared to me that the drive portion of this meet is not exactly planned out to every turn the same way as, for example, the July 25th meet was, so there is some opportunity here (paging Scott ) to perhaps fine-tune the route a bit. Again, I might have misunderstood though, so if I am wrong, do correct me.
Steve mentioned also that after the twisties we can stay over at that infamous hotel for 32 smuckaroos per night. Apparently, there is an in-ground pool nearby and other attractions as well. So, if you're tired after a pretty full day or just don't wanna go home and would rather spend the night out in the country, apparently there's an excellent and inexpensive place. I'm playing this one by ear, fellas, but it could be good times if enough people stay overnight - we'll get some booze, get a fire going, maybe BBQ some more...
We do NOT have a lot of time to plan everything out to the last detail, so we need to get the roster going here ASAP and then see what everyone's plans are like. Like I said, I'd actually love to stay overnight and do the bonfire thing - not sure how many of you are into that kind of thing, but would be good times, if enough people decide to participate.
All in all, this meet sounds pretty adventurous to me so far, so I'm keeping myself on the roster and let's keep it going, fellas!

not the black forest in Germany
i thought the same thing when i saw the thread title though.
...most people are familiar with the Black forest in Germany. I think this thread might get more interest if you specified "poconos" or PA or wherever that one is. (ive never heard of it) I only clicked on it because i was like "wow, black forest run would be incredbile" thinking it was in the DEU!

+1 - yes the black forest in Germany is world famous, whereas the one mentioned here isn't. I would always say "not the famous one" if I was organizing something somewhere that had the same name as a much more famous place with the same name. Honey, I'm taking you to Paris for our honeymoon, aren't you excited? There, this is the motel [sub](in Paris, Texas)[/sub] we'll be staying in ... it's got vibrating beds
Good luck with the meet, sounds great.

here is my thing... i would be hard pressed to leave a $60K+ car outside of a hotel that charges $32 a night. I am not a snob, but I have been to both ends of the world. I have driven through the mountians of tennessee and the worst neighborhoods in baltimore AND newark (i know, its not east st. louis or Detroit) but anyhow... those are the kinds of places that have $32 hotels, and those are the kinds of places i wouldnt park my car.
its only a car dont be a wosssieeee about where u park ur car!!!! BMWS are for GROWN UPS
