Okay, let's kick start the 5th Socal Meet!
I've been thinking about some things.
1. The Meet point will have to change. It's going to have to be somewhere closer to the mountains. Having the meet point where it is right now will entail that we get on Rt 78 and I-15. Doing that, we will end up losing some people when we get to the mountains. Taking a page from the last Socal Meet and the folks over in e90post, I'm thinking of moving the meet point to Escondido. The perfect place would be Westfield North County Mall off of South I-15. It's the San Diego Wild Animal Park exit.
2. How long should the drive be round trip? 50, 60, 70, 80 miles round-trip? From North County Mall to Julian it's 40 miles one-way which would make it 80 miles round trip. If we want to go shorter, there is the drive to Barona Casino which would be about 60 miles round trip. I know a few folks here would want to try their luck there.
3. Looking over the topography of where we will be headed, there isn't that many twisties like the kind I encountered during the 3rd Bay Area Meet. Those twistes made me barf.
I hope that doesn't disappoint too many people. I know that I'm okay with it. If a lot of people chime in wanting the wicked "S" turn twisties then I'll do my best to look for some.
