bump to get the list going and a banner
Do a google search and check out the menu.
I understand that a BBQ is better, but time to reserve a spot in a park is running out.

I'm going to close the voting Saturday 5/24.. By the looks of it, Sunday the 15th (6) is leading Saturday the 28th (5) by one vote. It's looking like it's going to be the first Sunday E60 meet.

How about a restaurant with a big parking lot? Mijares in Pasadena (Mexican food). I know they have plenty of space.

'Kay, here's my 2 1/2 cents:
I voted for any Sunday, 'cause I'm committed for the next few months of Saturdays.
As for Pasadena parks for a bbq, it may be difficult to get a bbq grill unless someone stakes it out in the a.m., (even if we officially reserve it). The parks which I'd recommnend are Brookside near the Rose Bowl, (if there's no big event that day), or Farnsworth - up Lake Avenue...but it's popular and will probably be busy and difficult to park together - as it would be witih all the other Pasadena parks...or just not an appropriate car meet location.
Options for RestaurantsP:
IT suggested Mijares in Pas. (Mexican food.) My co-worker's familiy owns the restaurant...maybe I could work out reserved parking for our cars because they have limited spaces...most park on the side streets...or we could get pre-approval from one of the adjacent businesses to use their parking lot since they're closed on the weekends. We may also be able to reserve the entire outdoor dining area depending on how many people show up.
We could also eat at Saladang Song II (Thai food)...we could also park in the same business parking lot suggested for Mijares...because Saladang is on the opposite end of the block as Mijares.
Also, Castaways Restaurant in Burbank/Glendale has a nice Sunday brunch. It's way up on a mountain above a golf course with a great view. We could eat outside or ask for a separate room if there's too many of us. We could also ask for preferred parking and self-parking since they typically valet only. We get a better deal if we eat earlier...so this would be an eat, meet, and drive. Or we pay full price and eat after the drive.
Another place in Glendale is Minx Restaurant/Lounge. We could ask to park together in the back. If everyone thinks it's too pricey...IN-N-OUT shares the parking lot!
My last bogus idea is, after the drive, to cruise the curvy 110 Fwy going south to downtown LA, (for those who have never experienced it), and park in my office parking lot in the Artist District near Little Tokyo. We could eat at any of the restaurants on Third Street between Alameda and Santa Fe...or Hawaiian bbg, Aloha Cafe, two blocks away...or ??? lot's of choices. I can have brewskies and other drinks chillin' in the office fridge waiting for us.
Okay, that's my two-bits.
