I made a call and found out that any of the Municipal Parks in La Canada need to be reserved and will most likely be taken, unless we reserve. Policy says 60 day notice for non-resident reservations or 30 days if you live in the city. I've got a friend that lives in La Canada and I can use his address to reserve. The other thing is that there is a $20/hr fee. The main thing is to lock down a date if we think we'll do a Park BBQ.

I'll recon the park situation tomorrow and maybe snap a few pics, yes?

Besides, any LA or OC beach would be a logistical nightmare. Our group would be scattered all over the place.
HB beach has big parking lots.

The logistics of the beach and angeles crest don't make sense, but if you guys have a beach meet in the future, the parking lots at HB can be quite accommodating. I've gone to a car meet at HB before and the pay parking lots right off main had plenty of space for 30 plus cars. This was on a weekend too.

If you guys are concerned with parking, the BBQ places at angeles crest typically have very small parking lots. Certainly not enough to fit everyone if there is a large turnout.

Yeah, your talking about Bolsa Chica beach where all the motorhomes park.

Beach blvd and south(towards Newport) should have plenty of parking.

I don't know why I missed this thread all this time. Nerwil told me about it the other day when I saw him at Eurorev and I still forgot to check until today.

I may be on location filming T4 in New Mexico the first week to two weeks of June........so I was going to vote for Saturday June 14th, but clicked on June 15th by mistake. June 28th should be OK too, but my wedding anniversary is on the 27th and I was thinking of perhaps going away with my wife for the weekend.....we've not been anywhere without the kids since my older son was born 6.5 years ago, so I don't know if it'll happen or not. Sooooo to summarize all of the above.....I have no idea what day would work out better for me , but Saturday's are generally better than Sundays.

Joe......how come you didn't put the weekend of the 21st and 22nd in the pole?

Thanks for all the input about a beach location but it's not going to happen. Marco, please scout the parks around Angelus Crest and let us know if they can accommodate at least 20 cars. As a last resort, we go to the restaurant inside Angelus Crest on Hwy 2.

Rody,
I purposely left off 6/21 and 6/22 as I would be away that weekend.
