I made a call and found out that any of the Municipal Parks in La Canada need to be reserved and will most likely be taken, unless we reserve. Policy says 60 day notice for non-resident reservations or 30 days if you live in the city. I've got a friend that lives in La Canada and I can use his address to reserve. The other thing is that there is a $20/hr fee. The main thing is to lock down a date if we think we'll do a Park BBQ.

I'll recon the park situation tomorrow and maybe snap a few pics, yes?
I checked out 4 of the 5 parks in La Canada (city @ the base of Angelus Crest). The 4 parks I saw aren't suitable for what i think we need. You can Googlemaps most of these and check them out with the satellite function. I drove to each and snapped phone pics of each...but I had some funky setting on my phone and the images came out really small.

Great shots I took

Mayor's Discovery Park - limited parking, no BBQ's
Glenola Park - no parking, more like a dog park or dog bathroom
Glenhaven Park - tiny - seems like 7 sq yds, NO PARKING, 1 BBQ pit
Memorial Park - No parking, no BBQ's

The only park I couldn't check was Oak Grove Park. I did THIS search on Googlemaps - [oak grove Park, la canada, ca] and find a nice parking area, but doesn't look like much else. I'll check it out tomorrow after work.

Don't mind putting the miles on them either. Broke 10k mile mark today. Those came fast.

Bump, any updates.

I've been doing satellite mapping of Pasadena parks, but it's impossible to tell if the have BBQ's. Are BBQ's a must? Might be easier to find a spot without BBQ's and we won't have to reserve a spot, just bring beach chairs!
Anyone in Pasadena?

I'll get there over the weekend, if no one lives in Pasadena. Clock is ticking on reservations.

I'm going to close the voting Saturday 5/24.. By the looks of it, Sunday the 15th (6) is leading Saturday the 28th (5) by one vote. It's looking like it's going to be the first Sunday E60 meet.

just a thought, but it would've been nice to do the run on the 8th......day after our BBQ meet in Cerritos. logistically for the NoCal group, would be a nice wknd trip for both events.
