We'll miss you Mel. Really hoped that you would attend as it's a real driver's kind of meet.

I have another driver's meet up my sleeve and in the works. It will involve the highest rated twisty road within 3 hours drive of New York. The road is unbelievable (Victor and have run it). But one (actually now two) NYC-area meets at a time. I'll save that puppy for August or September.

Well, to stay married for any length of time, you have to compromise a little. If your uncle jointly owns your family business with your husband, it sure would be hard to diss the uncle on his birthday.

There's always my 525 for you to beat. I don't think the typical xi buyer/driver hangs out at e60.net or goes to meets...
But if these cars are driven at their potential they can deliver, especially in the Snow Hill Road type of setting. On the highway of course, we're toast.

Or inches. period.
If you think Snow Hill Road is great, you should see Pennsylvania State Route 125 -- the highest-rated twisty road within 3 hours drive of New York. It is simoly breathtaking -- hairpins curves up and down a bunch of mountains in an unbelievably rugged and rural area. Imagine Snow Hill Road -- but much tougher and 6 times as long.

I'll be setting up a meet in August or September around that road. I'll be calling it the "double black diamond" meet.

Your 525 kept up pretty respectably on Snow Hill Road. When the roas is that twisty nd harrowing, power does not matter nearly as much as when the road is straight.

I have driven the basic route. If you and Sasha want to sample it, Victor and I could be persuaded to drive it next weekend. Bring an extra quart of oil, you may need it after running that devil of a road. I did last time I ran it.

I'll organize a more fomral meet around that road after the July 11 and 25 meets.
