My Ride: Alpine White 2006 530Xi (SLD)
so the wheel count is down to 48 now? Not that 12 cars is too few, or anything - just would be nice to see who's coming with us...
PS I was not bumping the thread, or anything

Everyone:
I now have all of the information for the June 6th Tri (actually Quad)-State Meet.
WHEN: Saturday, June 6th, 9 am sharp.
WHERE: Western New Jersey and the Pocono Moutains in Pennsylvania.
STARTING POINT: The starting point will be the Olive Garden Restaurant parking lot at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall in Rockaway, New Jersey, which is directly off of Interstate 80 in Morris County, New Jersey (if you are taking 80 West, it is Exit 35A). The Olive Garden is on the right of the first entrance to the mall after you have exited Interstate 80.
Here is a link to the mall's website: http://www.simon.com/mall/mall_info.aspx?ID=116
ENDING POINT: The Dimmick Inn in Milford, Pennsylvania. 101 East Hartford Street, Milford, PA 18337 (570-296-4021). The Dimmick Inn's website is www.dimmickinn.com
THE ROUTE: The route will begin at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall and head into the Poconos at East Strousdburg, Pa. From there, we'll delight in a series of twisty, windy, scenic country roads that will take us through the Pocono Mountains, passing by Pennsylvania towns such as Hamlin, Hawley and Lackawaxen. I have driven the entire route and it will be a lot of fun. Just about all of it (once we are in the Poconos) is on small, country roads that are a driver's delight. I will distribute the exact route directions at the 9 am meet-up.
My guess is that we'll end at the Dimmick Inn between 1:30 and 2:30 pm but it just depends on how long the drive takes us. You will see a lot of the Poconos and the northeastern corner of Pennsylvania on this drive. Please gas up before the drive begins.
WHAT TO BRING:
I will distibute detailed driving directions for the meet at the 9 am meet-up at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. This will be a long and fun drive so there will be checkpoints along the way, so everyone can catch up, should people get separated from the group throughout the various drives.
Plan on carving out the whole day for this event. The drive is longer than the one for the Bear Mountain Meet and begins with a 40 mile ride from the Rockaway Townsquare Mall on I-80 to the Poconos. Once we're in the Poconos, the real driving fun begins.
Given that the Rockaway Townsquare Mall is about 40 miles West of New York City on I-80, I encourage those attending to organize caravans to get to the Rockaway Townsquare Mall.
Here is the current list of members who have told us that they are attending.
1. Sdg1871 (Scott plus Victor) -- 550

Two more days to the meet!
The weather forecast is excellent with temps topping out in the high seventies and a minimal (10%) chance of precipitation: http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/US...mp;from=weekend
So if you are sitting on the fence about whether to go, come on out. It is going to be a great drive.
And Gregg and I have planned an optional leg to the drive after our lunch at the Dimmick Inn through Sussex County, New Jersey and onto some of the roads from the Bear Mountain Meet, ending in Tuxedo, New York (that is, we basically sculpted a fun drive back to the greater New York City area from Milford).
We will distribute detailed directions of the entire route (both the portions before and after lunch) at the 9am meet up at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall.
Due to the length of the drive, I suggest that you fill up near the Rockaway Townsquare Mall before the 9 am meet up. Also, there will be a rest stop about 70-80 miles into route (about 30-40 miles into the Poconos part of the drive) where you can fill up as it is at a gas station/rest area. FYI, the first 40 miles consist of a highway drive to get to the Poconos. When Victor and I did the drive about a month ago on a Saturday to plan and dry run the route, there were highway patrol all over that highway (I-80) just itching to ticket speeders. I expect similar conditions on Saturday.
Again, please bring your EZ-Pass as we will be going over a toll bridge to cross the Delaware River.
Gregg and I are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday.
If anyone from New York City is interested in caravaning, PM me. We've got several cars meeting up at 211 East 53rd Street in Manhattan at 7:15 am.

that's a 10-4 Scott
If we don't go more than 10 over the limit, we should be just fine.
See you Saturday morn, bud!
