The second picture is likely Church Street, Manchester (or close by).

This is the only street with both a Tesco Express and something called Light (The Light Apartments).

I'm struggling with the first picture. It has a look of Oxford Road but that's a major guess. Maybe someone will recognise the building top left with the three faced clock

Do you have a high resolution version of piccie 1? There are two street signs in the image but too grainy when zoomed.
