only time i remember someone stealing an e60 would be in Live Free & Die Hard...

When you're standing behind the car, the top right corner of the lid is where to begin.
When my car decided to lock itself with the keys inside and the engine running it took a "specialist" 1 minute to open it. He used the special inflatable cushions Iceman wrote about to prise the top of the front door slightly away from the bodywork and then inserted a long rod. If it were long enough he would have just pressed the central locking button but as it was too short he picked one with a hook and pulled the inside door handle open.

Obviously none of this would have worked if the car was locked with the remote.

In the US, as long as you have BMW assist you just call them and give them your code and they will open it electronically via satellite.

That's unreal that they can get into your car by remote (i assume satellite) !!

One day, in the future, they will invent a 'mute' button for my wife. Then, i'll be really impressed!
