+1.

My wife is still crazy about Alphaville.

In 1987, I was in my sophomore/junior year of high school in Old Tappan, New Jersey. Seems like a million years ago.

Good selection Nice to see some descriptions of the links there too

How many of y'all were suckered in by Frankie Goes to Hollywood when they released Two Tribes in multiple versions? In a cheap-stunt attempt to stay at #1 for so long (which worked btw) they released a completely different 12" remix of TT every couple of weeks. I was there like a sucker buying them all

Can you get me his autograph?
If you want an autograph from him, write to:

Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH
Neumarkter Str. 28
81673 M?nchen
GERMANY

I could give you his private address, but he throws everything away unopened which is coming from persons he doesn't know.

Ever notice how many 80's new wave songs are coming back in current commercials?

There's the Cure's Pictures of You for Kodak

There's The The for the M&M's theme commercials

there's a couple more...I'll have to watch some TV...

This is the Day
Thanks for reviving a memory, Erikuva.

I'll always remember this song, as it was playing in the car when I drove back home right after my daughter was born in early 1994. For me, as a then-new first-time dad, that was indeed "the day".

That's awesome James The The has always been a favorite...

I have been trying to expose our 15 yr old to some of the old 80's sutff, he's not convinced yet He likes INXS, but I think he might be more interested in Whitesnake, and those bands....

Another song in a new commerical is Joy Divsion's Ceremony...though for the life of me, I can't remember for what...

Joy Division was quite the influential band IMO
