I have a panny 50THPZ75U (1080P) which I have for about a year and half now. I tried a LCD and 2 panny plasmas before settling with this one.
Yes Xman. Argueably the best tv ever made. Got the TH-58PZ750U for my son yet I am happy with the Sony Bravia 46.

Pio 50" 720P as the main TV here. Plan on adding a 37" 1080P LCD for use as a computer monitor near term for the spare room.

Sony XBR2 SXRD LCD 60". It has been custom calibrated by ISF Calibrator, Kevin Miller. Mr. Miller is considered one of the pioneers in ISF Calibration. If you are into HT and have not had your display calibrated by an ISF Professional, you have no idea what you're missing, especially if you have a high end display. It's worth every penny. He spent 2 hours on my TV, pulled out a $12,000 spectrometer and fine tuned every aspect of my TV. Aside from the blacks being perfect, the color, hues and pixels are absolutely perfect. The brightness and contrast is exactly where it needs to be. The tones are fantastic. But it's really the blacks that just make it so amazing. When I look at my TV in 1080p, it's like I'm looking through a window. It's unreal!

If you live in the NY area, I highly recommend Kevin's services. He has a 2 month waiting list, but it's well worth it. Cost starts at $400 and you get 3 inputs for that price. Most of his work is done for those that have dedicated theater rooms with 110"+ screens. However, he does do many 60"+ high end displays that people use as their HT display.

Kevin is also very famous, as he contracts for CNET and reviews almost all of the top televisions on the market each year. In fact, he's currently at CES checking out the latest and greatest, as we speak. If you look at his site that I listed above, you will see something called "The Miller Channel Archive". Take a look at all the TV's he's reviewed for CNET since 2003. It will blow your mind. The man means business and I couldn't be happier with my Home Theater.

PS - Member poleposition recently contacted Kevin for his services. A display must have at least 100 hours under it's belt, before Kevin can work on it. There is no doubt that when Kevin is done with polepositions display, the picture will be phenomenal. I look forward to seeing it after he does his magic.

Listen dick, I'm offering up further help to those who have nice TV's and want to obtain the best picture their TV's can offer. Most pull their TV's straight from the box, do a few adjustments and leave it, not knowing that their displays have much greater potential. With all the money you spend on the TV itself, getting an ISF calibrator to come in and calibrate your TV makes the whole purchase well worth it. I believe Magnolia in BestBuy now offers ISF Calibration. I'm not sure how good their services are, but I'm sure it's decent.

As for you, do they even offer cable television in South Dakota yet or are you still using rabbit ears?
