I concur wholeheartedly. I use to work on cars frequently as a hobby and unfortunately out of necessity when I was younger. My father's friend was a mechanic and guided me on most of the basics at his shop. I have owned and worked on many brands of vehicles. BMW has the highest quality components I have seen other than a brand like Rolls Royce. The suspension components are far superior than those of other brands, especially Japanese brands. The next competitor would be Mercedes Benz for quality components.

If you were to consider different vehicles, have a mechanic shop put the cars on a rack and check out what is under the vehicle. BMW will change your mind about purchasing another brand in this class except for Mercedes.
