Some that I can remember over the years:
Willie Stargell - Pittsburgh Pirate, while at a kids photo op day, still have the pic with him. Also with several other players.
Ernie Shavers - Pro boxer, while pumping gas at a full service station, got a $5 tip for filling his limo.
Red Skelton - Comedian, at a casino in Atlantic City, I told him he was my favorite comedian when growing up.
Jimmy Valvano - NC State Basket Ball coach (83 NCAA champs) & brief ESPN broadcaster, at a book signing
David Thompson - NC State ('74 champs) & pro Basket Ball player, at a United Way campaign drive.
Tammy Faye Bakker - Wife of Jim Bakker at the time (pre PTL scandal), just passed her in a mall, as ugly in person as on TV. I actually did find and buy a "I ran into Tammy Faye at the Mall" T shirt, it had makeup splattered on it......
Lance Armstrong - Didn't actually meet him but attended a speech of his and passed him in the hall afterwards.

There was one person between me and him at Best Buy in Plano a few years ago. Man, his wife/girlfriend was HOT, so hot I didn't even notice "the guy" she was with...
So, anyway, we were in that long-arse Christmas time Best Buy line, and after he made his purchase, he turned and said "Merry Christmas everybody!!!" A few of us said "Merry Christmas" back to him, but most of us were like, "Who the Hell was that, and why is he in such a cheery mood?"
Then someone said (and it clicked with me at the same time) 'That was Lance Armstrong!!!'
I ran across him again a year or two later at the Home Depot (The last year of his streak). He got into a bright red Ferrari 360 Modena (Or, it could have been an F-430- I can't hardly tell them apart). I heard he lives in Austin, but I've seen him in D/FW a few times.

Denmark isent used to world famous person but I have seen some:
Viggo Mortensen (Lord of the rings) once here in Denmark - actually a nice person but really shy!
Tom Kristensen and Jan Magnussen - world famous here in Denmark. Have won some Le mans races etc. over time!
Peter Schmeichell and the Laudrup brothers (Soccer / football)
I don't know if I should be proud but George Bush drove by me once in Rome for the Popes funeral!
My stepmom worked in Moscow back in the days and she meet MR ELVIS PRESLEY!! to a party in Germany who wanted to dance with her.. She refused because the did not like him!! :-)

I remember once. I was in Tennesse when Elvis was in a neighboring state. But I forgot what state it was. Maybe Mississippi. Well. he was born in Tupelo!

Mary Steenbergen
June Allyson - nice lady
Ed Begley Jr - sat next to him in a local mexican restaurant
Walter Brennan - entirely different persona offscreen
Bill Murray - on a flight to Orlando - sat behind him
Paul Newman - in a local restaurant
Peter Strauss
and a smattering of character actors, etc.
Gen. Chuck Yeager - got him to sign my copy of his book
Burt Rutan - got him to sign my Chuck Yeager book
