The new museum is 6 times the size of the old museum. It is exactly that, however, a museum. They did a superb job, also, with the exhibits. I spent a few hours there recently, there were hundreds of cars and bikes on display and walking through it is a super experience, one to which one should devote a minimum of 2-3 hours.

There was a merchandise shop, a formula 1 car, a couple of energy efficiency exhibits and about 12 cars. Apart from that I only saw an entrance that said "for people having cars delivered only" and the restaurants. I must have missed the signs to the part where there were hundreds of cars and bikes on display. No biggie, I wouldn't have had time to see more than I did. Next time

I think if you don't eat anything in any of the restaurants, or have a car being delivered, you'd be hard pressed to find more than 15 minutes of enthusiast entertainment. There's about 15 cars (same as an above average sized dealership) and a few tech exhibits. The museum across the road was far more interesting last time I went (about 6 years ago).
Sad to say that Mercedes' new museum is more impressive inside than BMW Welt.

I went on a Monday (when it was closed) and got so many photos I haven't even had a chance to catalog and organize them yet.
