My Ride: 04 530i Space Gray/ Black Dakota Leather interior with SMG, Sports Package+ Paddle Shifters, HUD, NAV, Premium Package, Multi-Contour Seats, Xenons , Logic 7.
A company in NJ has come out with a new GPS system that uses the same concept as the HUD and projects a 3D route-guidance line above the road.

I guess its going to be expensive in a BMW but I wonder how would they install the asssembly (that contains the mirrors and the lenses) on top of the dashboard? My E60 has the HUD option so I guess they would probably just install the software and sync it with the current HUD?

That's not new for the car manufacturers. In fcat, BMW has their own concept.
