Whether you believe in the War in Iraq or not, I think it's important to pay tribute to the those that serve/served this country overseas and have given their lives for our freedom. Whether it be the War in Iraq or any of the war's in our history, I'm sure many of you have or had loved one's that served in the United States Military.
I just wanted to pay tribute to every single one of those people out there. Thank you for serving this country. We salute, honor and pay tribute to you. We are forever grateful.

That's a great post. I was surprised nothing was said yesterday. Oh well. I agree totally and spent a lot of time thinking of the friends I have lost so far in this war.
Those of us who serve only ask that people support us, it doesn't matter what we agree with or not. Some people lose sight of the fact that you cant have a military full of soldiers who pick and choose what to fight for. We have to put our trust in those who we all elect.
Anyway, I salute all those who have given all and those of us who give some.

Ditto for our UK comrades. Although I don't support the Iraq war, I support the British forces. They don't choose where they get posted to, they sign up to serve our country and then go where they are told and do what they are told to do. It's a shame we live in world where war is still a viable option to solve disputes. Perhaps one day we'll all grow up and realise we live on the same planet.
