I agree - that's the first thing I thought of!!! I could see drivers changing from their shades to eyeglasses not really being able to see - or their eyes adjusting to the lower light poorly, etc... That would be a nightmare. Garages are dangerous enough due to idiot drivers without adding confusion to the mix! I have to drive up 3 levels and out of the garage every time I use my car (I live in a high-rise condo). Trust me, people have a hard enough time just following basic signage.
Cool visual concept though.

I suspect these things look way more convincing in photos than they do in real life. And they'd only be convincing from a very narrow angle.
