Replying to your post #6: If it's a 1 pt infraction (which it sounds like it is), it could be cleared up by attending traffic school. I've had my fair share of 1 point'ers but they've never touched my driving record.

My guess is he's going to write it off on his end. I could totally be wrong, but only time will tell. He mentioned very specifically that it wouldn't count as a moving violation, no points on my license, or affect my insurance. Also, he never mentioned a word about traffic school, which I'm assuming they usually do for moving violations. Thanks for the help and hopefully it turns out well.
