I might be pulling the trigger on it soon. I am just waiting to see if HTC or Moto will release a GSM version of their EVO or DROID X. If not, I am getting the Streak. The Samsung Vibrant (aka Galaxy S) is still locked to BELL (no unlock methods yet).

I always hold my wallet and phone in my hand. I never put them in my pocket. So I don't mind the big screen. In the contrary, Would be much better for texting and chatting.

Healthservices, do you know if It will be getting the upgrade to the Froyo 2.2? There are still rumors on the forums, but maybe you have any inside info. Let me know. Thanks

phones are getting too big! the Droid X is huge too. The HD3 is probably gonna be friggin huge too. how does it feel in your pocket? does it feel too big? cuz i carry my phone (voyager) in my pocket and feel like its too big. i cant really put anything else in that same pocket - which is fine, as long as i can sit down comfortably. i'm 6'1 btw.

Droid X is the same size as HD2 and EVO, which was mandatory in order to compete. 4.3" is the screen size. Which I find to be the perfect size. My TP2 is 3.6" (same size as iphone) which I find small IMHO, this is why opting for 4.3" or even 5" might be necessary if you don't have a keyboard.

Well see how things go today as I start playing with it.

One big phone compared to carrying two smaller phones, lets see what happens.

Looks sexy. How does 5series.net look on it? I discovered the resolution is 800x480, slightly small for a full web page but only slightly. That's the same resolution as my Nexus One, but at the same zoom level I doubt I can read it as well as you can on yours at that same zoom level.

It'll be good to hear how you get on with it. I maybe tempted to go for it without even waiting for a larger one. For me I'm looking for it to be a home-based wifi-based sofa-surfer, game player and multimedia player. I don't care that it's not pocketable. I'd have bought an iPad if it wasn't infected with Apple's OS

CONGRATS Looks really nice.

As I understand it comes out of the box with the Android 1.6 but upgradable to 2.1. Any news if upgradable to 2.2 Froyo?
Do you mind telling me how much you got it for? I am very tempted.

Then don't buy the Streak.
Android is coming out with a new Tablet that competes with the iPad soon

Ok do not leave in pocket when in car, because you will get a call and you will not be able to remove it
