In Germany the car tax and insurance on the 545i/550i V8 is about half of the 530d
Unforetunately, its the other way round in Denmark
Nice story DD 545i. Very similar to my experiences whenever I head back to Germany to visit friends and family... idiot tailgates you in a restricted zone where you have no chance of pulling over to let idiot pass, but then when you hit the derestricted zone, be polite and make sure you are no longer in idiots way... because you've left them standing when you floored it
ps. good luck with the wallet

My Ride: 2010 BMW 530i E61, alpine white, cream-beige interior, sports-auto-transmission and a lot more-
funny thing, just yesterday I was driving from Frankfurt to cologne for picking up my parents at the airport.
German Autobahn is like heaven and hell.
Sometimes it's pure fun to drive(like yesterday) and sometimes I could puke about these f'cking tailgaters and wannabe's, but the most annoying thing are drivers who creep on the left lane..Imagine 3 lanes, me on the left one with about 200km/h, in the middle lane a small car, let's say some shitty hyundai, just in front of him a truck that switches from right to middle lane to overtake, this shitty hyundai switches to the left lane without looking to the upcoming traffic.
But yesterday I tested my car for the first time and reached 250km/h.
I smoked some Benz and Audis that tailgated me
Come to germany ,take a run on the german autobahn and buy our super - cheap petrol for 1,48? /litre
oh, I forgot: Now I pay less for my 530i than for my last 525D, just about 1/3 less than in the past.
